1 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using wokab.in (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 and the Information Technology Act, 2000. By using the Platform, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into contracts.
These Terms apply to all users of the Platform — job seekers, recruiters, employers, and visitors.
3 Job Seekers
When you apply to a job listing on Wokab, you:
- Confirm that all information you submit (name, contact details, resume) is accurate and your own
- Consent to your application data being forwarded to the employer who posted the listing
- Acknowledge that Wokab has no control over how the employer processes your application or responds to you
- Understand that submission of an application does not guarantee contact, interview, or employment
- Agree not to submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Agree not to submit applications on behalf of another person without their knowledge and consent
Job seekers do not need to create an account. Wokab does not charge job seekers any fee.
4 Recruiters & Employers
Recruiters who register for an account and post listings agree that:
- All information in your account and job listings is accurate, current, and lawful
- You are authorised to recruit for the listed roles on behalf of the company named
- Job listings must describe actual, existing, open positions
- You will not post fake, expired, or misleading job listings
- You will not use applicant data for any purpose other than evaluating that specific application
- You will handle applicant data in compliance with applicable Indian data protection laws
- You are solely responsible for your hiring decisions, communications with applicants, and compliance with employment law
- You will not use the Platform to solicit candidates for third-party placements without disclosure
Wokab reserves the right to remove any listing or suspend any recruiter account that violates these Terms, without refund, at our sole discretion.
5 Content & Intellectual Property
Wokab Content: All content on the Platform — including text, design, logos, graphics, code, and layout — is owned by or licensed to Wokab and protected under Indian copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without express written permission.
User-Submitted Content: By submitting content (job listings, application details, blog comments), you grant Wokab a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, and display that content for the purpose of operating the Platform. You retain ownership of your content.
Resume/CV: Your resume is your property. By uploading it, you grant Wokab a limited licence to transmit it to the employer you applied to. We do not display or publish resumes publicly.
The Wokab name, logo, and brand are trademarks of Wokab. You may not use them without prior written consent.
6 Prohibited Conduct
You must not use the Platform to:
- Post or submit fraudulent, misleading, or illegal content
- Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Platform without permission
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, or database
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's functionality or servers
- Post listings for multi-level marketing, pyramid schemes, or commission-only roles disguised as salaried positions
- Collect applicant data for purposes other than the specific role applied to
- Harass, discriminate against, or harm any user
- Use the Platform in violation of any applicable Indian law
- Impersonate any person, company, or entity
- Upload malware, viruses, or any malicious code
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account suspension, data removal, and legal action where applicable under the Information Technology Act, 2000 or the Indian Penal Code.
7 Payments & Refunds
Recruiter listing fees and subscription plans are charged in advance. All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Refund Policy:
- Refunds are available within 48 hours of purchase if no listing has been published under the plan
- Once a listing is live, no refund is applicable for that listing slot
- In cases of technical failure on our end preventing a listing from going live, a full refund or credit will be issued
- Refund requests must be submitted to support@wokab.in with your order reference
Payment processing is handled by third-party gateways (Razorpay or similar). Wokab does not store card or bank account details.
8 Disclaimers
- The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied
- Wokab does not verify the accuracy of job listings and is not responsible for errors, omissions, or misrepresentations made by employers
- Wokab does not guarantee that applications will be received, reviewed, or responded to by employers
- Wokab does not guarantee employment outcomes for any applicant
- We do not endorse, recommend, or vouch for any employer, company, or job listing on the Platform
- The Platform may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control
Job seekers are advised to independently verify job details and the legitimacy of any employer before sharing sensitive personal information beyond what is required by Wokab's application form.
9 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Indian law, Wokab and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform
- Loss of employment opportunity, income, or business arising from use or inability to use the Platform
- Actions taken by employers or applicants following interactions facilitated through the Platform
- Unauthorised access to or alteration of your transmissions or data by third parties
In any case, Wokab's maximum aggregate liability to any user shall not exceed the amount paid by that user to Wokab in the three months preceding the claim, or ₹1,000, whichever is higher. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.
10 Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Wokab and its officers, employees, and agents from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Platform
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third party's rights
- Any content you submit through the Platform
11 Termination
Wokab may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, suspend or terminate your access to the Platform if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason Wokab deems appropriate.
Recruiters may delete their accounts at any time by contacting support@wokab.in. Upon termination, active listings will be removed. Provisions relating to liability, indemnity, intellectual property, and governing law will survive termination.
12 Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi, India.
Before initiating legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution of any dispute through direct communication for a period of 30 days.
13 Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. When changes are material, we will update the "Last updated" date and post a notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Recruiters with active accounts will be notified of material changes by email.
